Today we headed out to a small town in Colorado called Calhan, where the Painted Mines Interpretive Park can be found. This wonderful free location is a photographer's dream with scenic vistas, incredible colorful rock formations and lots of little wild plants. There is a well cleared trail that takes you around the entire park, up little hills and across plain land, and every step gives you another reason to snap a shot! The weather was perfect, with wonderful blue skies, a nice little breeze and perfect sunlight. Another place I can add to my "visit-again-very-soon list!"
Here are three from the many shots I took... beautiful place.
